Dear Living Fuel Family,

Say you work in an office with 30 others, and a co-worker comes down with a nasty cold virus.  A few days later, 4 others have identical symptoms.  However, you and the 25 others are unaffected.  All were exposed to the virus, but only a few succumed to it.  Why?  How does this relate to a much more insidious disease like cancer?

The cure for cancer is to not get it in the first place, similar to the group of employees in our example that avoided the cold virus.  While this concept may sound trite and overly simplistic, there is much truth in it.  Carcinogen is defined as any substance that can cause or aggravate cancer, and there are many carcinogens we know to avoid, such as tobacco smoke, asbestos, and nuclear fallout.  These are obvious to avoid.  Are there others?

We answer those questions today and more in Part 4 of LivingFuelTV’s special series Cancer Step Outside the Box with Ty Bollinger.  Today’s episode is a must-see for those battling cancer, those supporting a loved one in their fight against cancer, or anyone who wants to avoid a cancer diagnosis.  Learn what you can do to help your body evade and fight cancer cells.  We’ll also discuss the importance of nutrition, environment, and movement in living a cancer-free life.

Dear Living Fuel Family,

Perhaps someone you love received the test results this week.  Cancer.

Those diagnosed with this dreaded disease face difficult decisions that are literally a matter of life and death.  The first question uttered by a new cancer patient is invariably:  What do I do now?

Today on LivingFuelTV, we address this question head-on continuing our important series, Cancer: Step Outside the Box with Ty Bollinger.  While we are not medical doctors, and we are not providing medical advice, the practical information we share today is critical for cancer patients and their families to carefully examine and thoughtfully consider.

Dear Living Fuel Family,

Just as the number of cancer diagnoses is on the dramatic rise, so is the amount of available information on the disease from prevention to treatment.  Today, on LivingFuelTV, we continue our important series,Cancer Step Outside the Box with Ty Bollinger.  In Part 2, we hear Ty’s moving story of his parents who were both diagnosed, “treated”, and passed away from cancer.  Their tragedies sparked an exhaustive search for treatment alternatives, and a strong passion to inform others of his findings. Once again, it’s our goal in this series to help dispel the fear of cancer while arming you with information to assist you and others in making informed treatment decisions.

Dear Living Fuel Family,

Cancer.

The word strikes fear in the hearts of many, and all of us have been touched by cancer in some way.  Perhaps a family member or loved one passed away from cancer, or a friend has recently been diagnosed with an especially virulent form of this disease.  Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body.  But is a cancer diagnosis a death sentence?

Today on LivingFuelTV, I interview Ty Bollinger, bestselling author of the book Cancer: Step Outside the Box.  Ty’s story is compelling and touching—a story you may well be able to relate.  He lost both his parents to cancer that ignited a fervent search for alternatives to standard cancer treatment.  Ty’s discoveries are absolutely vital information for us all, and important enough to share with those we love.  Consider forwarding this message to a friend or loved one affected in some way by cancer.  It’s our goal in this series to help dispel the fear of cancer while arming you with information to assist you and others triumph in the winnable battle against cancer.

HealthAlert: Men In Pink

Pink-bottled energy shots, pink pizza boxes, pink recyclable grocery bags, pink buckets of fast-food fried chicken, even pro football players and kids in youth football are wearing pink.

You can’t miss the ubiquitous pink color everywhere each October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (founded in 1985 as a partnership of the American Cancer Society and a major pharmaceutical company).

It may come as a surprise to know that healthy lifestyle habits and diet have been clinically shown in a significant number of studies to substantially reduce the risk of breast and other cancers that plague our modern society, as much as 80%!   The successful fund-raising activities of various pink ribbon organizations have raised well over a billion dollars to spend on the “cure”, however, little substantial progress has been made.

In today’s LivingFuelTV’s HealthAlert, I challenge your thinking about supporting organizations that, while noble in their intentions, prey on our emotions and our altruistic desires to do something to effect the “cure”.  And we’re led to believe that the “cure” (actually, a pharmaceutical cure) is just around the corner.
