Memorial Day is a day to remember those who have lost their lives in defense of our country. Memorial Day was first observed in 1868, when flowers were placed at the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.
Today we remember our fallen heroes, and we pray for our veterans and current service members in harm’s way.
