Understanding Protein
Comments Off
- KC Craichy, The Super Health Diet: The Last Diet You Will Ever Need!
We’ve all heard of protein. We know it’s important, but few understand exactly why. You may have asked:
What are the best sources of protein?
How much protein do I need each day?
Does the type of protein I consume matter?
Are protein powders effective?
Protein, absolutely essential for human life, is one of the most misunderstood substances by not just those on the journey toward their ideal weight or overall good health, but also misunderstood by many doctors, nutritionists, personal trainers and others that our families rely on for health care and education.
‘The Dynamic Role of Proteins in Weight Loss’, Chapter 11, in my book The Super Health Diet: The Last Diet You Will Ever Need!, contains vital information on protein for those wanting to lose weight, optimize their physical performance, bolster the immune system and to add life to their years!
Today on LivingFuelTV, Monica and I discuss protein and why this macronutrient is vitally important to your weight optimization and overall health goals. Join us by clicking on the image below.

LivingProtein® Super Meatballs

Two of the key ingredients to today’s recipe—organic grass-fed beef and organic free-range eggs—are great sources of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), a naturally-occurring fatty acid that has been shown to help the body’s cardiovascular and immune systems, and to promote healthy fat metabolism and lean body composition.
1 pound organic, grass-fed ground beef (or bison)
1 cup grated organic parmesan cheese
2 free-range organic eggs
2 teaspoons organic Italian seasoning
4 cloves organic garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon fine ground Celtic Sea Salt (add more to taste)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Use a spoon to make approximately 1-inch diameter meatballs. Lightly coat meatballs in extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil and lay on a baking dish. Place baking dish in preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, turning meatballs once during the process.

Eggs and Cholesterol Clarified
Comments Off
Here in the United States, typical breakfast food options include grain-based, sugar-infused doughnuts, muffins, pancakes, waffles, biscuits and cereals. Conventional medicine and media outlets have done a great job of slandering the EGG, linking eggs to high cholesterol and the killer heart disease. We’ve been unwittingly programmed to associated eggs with risk of dying from heart disease! Is this actually true?
Findings from new studies are emerging that tell us that egg consumption is actually an indicator of good health! Today on LivingFuelTV, I’ll look at an important Danish study (the country, not the breakfast pastry) on egg consumption and health markers. The study’s findings, coupled with a different look at cholesterol, may just have you looking at the much maligned egg in a whole different light. Click on the graphic below to watch.

LivingProtein® PB&J SuperSmoothie

There’s likely not an organization that tracks such statistics, however, it’s probably safe to say that there were hundreds of thousands of these sandwiches made and eaten by young and old alike on a beautiful day like today. Unfortunately, the ingredients in this American lunch icon often hide dangers such as hydrogenated vegetable oils, high fructose corn syrup, added white sugar, nutritionally-empty white bread, and a list of unpronounceable chemicals, fillers, and flavors.
Instead, try our newest LivingFuel creation the delicious LivingProtein® PB&J SuperSmoothie for lunch this week. You and the children in your life will love it!
This gluten-free, plant-driven recipe fuels you and those you love with 220 calories, 6 grams of fiber, and 16 grams of plant protein.
1 tablespoon organic peanut butter
4 organic fresh or frozen strawberries
½ cup chilled almond milk
½ cup chilled purified water
2 ice cubes
Adjust the amount of peanut butter and strawberries as you would in a traditional PB&J to taste.
Add all ingredients into a blender. Blend for 30 seconds. Enjoy!
