Proteins are the foundation of the human body and, next to water, the most plentiful substance in the body.

- KC Craichy, The Super Health Diet: The Last Diet You Will Ever Need!

Dear Living Fuel Family,

We’ve all heard of protein.   We know it’s important, but few understand exactly why.  You may have asked:

What are the best sources of protein?
How much protein do I need each day?
Does the type of protein I consume matter?

Protein, absolutely essential for human life, is one of the most misunderstood substances by not just those on the journey toward their ideal weight or overall good health, but also misunderstood by many doctors, nutritionists, personal trainers and others our families rely on for health care and education.

‘The Dynamic Role of Proteins in Weight Loss’, Chapter 11 of The Super Health Diet: The Last Diet You Will Ever Need!, contains vital information on protein for those wanting to lose weight, optimize their physical performance, bolster the immune system and to add life to their years!

Today on LivingFuelTV, join me for a brief, but informative, look at the amount of protein we need daily.  Learn why we need protein and a simple calculation to determine the optimal amount for you.  Click on the graphic below to watch.

If you are buying a protein powder because you like the taste, there is a high likelihood that it contains ingredients you should not be putting into your body in the name of health.

- KC Craichy, The Super Health Diet: The Last Diet You Will Ever Need!
Dear Living Fuel Family,

Protein!  This widely misunderstood macronutrient is vital for your health and critical for almost every function in the body.  Under consume protein and the body literally cannibalizes muscle and organ tissue to get it, sabotaging your health goals.  In Chapter 11, ‘The Dynamic Role of Proteins in Weight Loss’ of my recent book The Super Health Diet: The Last Diet You Will Ever Need!, it was my goal to present the power of protein in a way that everyone could clearly understand and practically apply.  Readers learn that the daily requirement of protein that we’ve been led to believe is optimal is not.  Supplementing strategically with high quality protein powder is a key to reaching your goal of Super Health and its companion, your optimal weight!

Join Monica and me today on LivingFuelTV where we shed light on this topic and present tips choosing healthy protein powder—what to look for, what to avoid, and how to use protein powder successfully in your Super Health Diet!

From Living Fuel’s kitchen, comes a creative, clever, and delicious use of the extraordinary plant-based protein/fiber/antioxidant blend LivingProtein and protein-rich organic grass-fed beef (or bison) to create nutrient-dense oven-bakedLivingProtein Super Meatballs!

Two of the key ingredients to today’s recipe—organic grass-fed beef and organic free-range eggs—are great sources of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), a naturally-occurring fatty acid that has been shown to help the body’s cardiovascular and immune systems, and to promote healthy fat metabolism and lean body composition.

This easy recipe is fun for kids to prepare, too!
LivingProtein Super Meatballs

2 scoops LivingFuel LivingProtein
1 pound organic, grass-fed ground beef (or bison)
1 cup grated organic parmesan cheese
2 free-range organic eggs
2 teaspoons organic Italian seasoning
4 cloves organic garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon fine ground Celtic Sea Salt(add more to taste)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Use a spoon to make approximately 1-inch diameter meatballs.  Lightly coat meatballs in extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil and lay on a baking dish.  Place baking dish in preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, turning meatballs once during the process.

This terrific new recipe yields approximately 18 golf ball-size meatballs.  Each meatball contains 100 calories, 10 grams of clean protein, and 1 gram of fiber.
