The jubilant FreeRide836 Team, powered by Living Fuel, following their successful ride on May 26th.

Kiteboard fifty miles with a the daunting goal of raising $50,000 to build an orphanage for twelve beautiful orphans in Tanzania, Africa.

Back in March we introduced you to the innovative FreeRide836 to raise funds to accomplish just that.  Living Fuel is proud to serve as the title sponsor of the event, and company founders KC and Monica Craichy have been involved in the project since its inception.  Their oldest sons, Kyle and Austin, were members of the team that safely and successfully kiteboarded over fifty miles from Miami to Islamorada in the Florida Keys on Sunday, May 26th.  As of last count, the amount raised for the orphanage is approaching $60,000.

FreeRide836 is the brainchild of Mark Russell and his wife Tracey.  Their sons, Chase, Holt and Trey, were also members of the kiteboarding team. They plan to make it an annual event to continue to build and operate orphanages in Africa.  Donations can be made through their website at http://www.freeride836.com.  All proceeds will go directly to Orphan’s Heart, a tax deductible 501(C)(3) organization.
