KC and Monica Craichy talk with Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, about taking juicing to the next level with the LivingFuel Fast.

Audio Transcription:

Mike: Welcome to Natural News. I’m your host, Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, and joining me in the studio today is the formulator of the top superfood product in the marketplace today. It’s one of my favorites. His name is KC Craichy. He’s from LivingFuel.com, and he joins us today here with his wife, Monica.

Monica: Hi, Mike.

Mike: Hi. It’s great to have you here on the show today.

KC: Great to be here.

Monica: Thank you.

Mike: Now KC, what really is in your Living Fuel products? Can you give us a little bit of background on the formulation?

KC: I’ll give you a little background. You know food is a double-edged sword, right? So, if you want to go out and get a lot of potassium, you don’t eat a lot of bananas because of the sugar, right? So, there are two sides to many foods. My goal was to create a food that had the good part of the sword and not the bad part. So, it has more calcium and vitamin D that milk, more potassium than bananas, more fiber than oatmeal, more protein than a half dozen egg whites and more phytonutrients than a basket of fruits and vegetables — ten servings, for instance — and more friendly bacteria than 20 bowls of yogurt in a single food.

Monica: [laughs]

KC: All that was low glycemic, lower calorie, nutrient dense, extraordinarily high antioxidant. In fact, it’s the most potent antioxidant food that exists on the planet today with healthy fats, super-fats.

Mike: What kinds of superfoods do you have in there? Micro-alga, blueberries, what?

KC: In the Greens version, we have broccoli, spinach, kale, spirulina, dolce, kelp and so on. In the Super Berry formula, we have organic blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and cranberries. The Super Berry Ultimate version, what we have today, has berry extracts, it has chlorella growth factor and has a lot of things that really bring it to the top. In fact, the antioxidant rating of the Super Berry Ultimate is higher than the acai berry that you’re familiar with.

Mike: Right, ah-SAI-ee from South America.

KC: Yes.

Mike: You know, it seems like every week in the news I’m reading a new study announcing some phenomenal anti-cancer capability of a berry or a superfood, and I noticed that from the list that you just mentioned, everything I’m seeing in the news is in your product, Living Fuel.

Monica: Yes, it is.

KC: Well, that was our goal.

Mike: That’s amazing.

Monica: The other thing, though, is he’s also combined proteins that make it a whole food. It’s not just like drinking a glass of juice.

Mike: So, this is really a…

Monica: It’s actually a whole meal.

Mike: …a whole meal replacement.

KC: It handles the macro and the micro nutrients. We talked about needing 50+ nutrients. That includes macro and micro. All the essential fats, and all the essential aminos and so on. For instance, our protein, called Living Protein, is the foundation of both the Super Greens and the Super Berry Living Fuel. It has yellow pea and rice combined together along with plant-based amino acids to bring the profile up to look a lot like egg from all plant sources.

Mike: Oh, I see.

KC: So, it’s an alkaline-forming, high-protein, complete plant protein.

Mike: And then, like you said, that becomes the base formula, and then you add superfoods and nutrients to create the Greens and the Berry formulas.

KC: So, it replaces a countertop full of supplements plus your meal. So, if you think about the economics of that, it’s pretty astounding. Plus, you can live on it — breakfast, lunch and dinner — for as long as you want to go. That’s the challenge we put out to any other product. We say we have a “Dare to Compare” campaign out. If your product’s so good, then you have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner and come see me in a week.

Mike: How do people make this product? Do you just add water to it? Or almond milk? Or what are you doing?

KC: It runs the gamut. I mean, some people will put it in a cup and stir it with barely any water, and it will be like sludge, and they like it that way.

Monica: We’ve actually had some hard core people that just eat it out of the can.

KC: Yes!

Mike: Really? [laughs]

Monica: But I think it’s just finding your own recipe.

Mike: Sure.

Monica: You know, we’ve got five kids, and all five kids have their own way they like to eat it.

KC: Yes. I like it personally in a blender bottle, just shake it with water, a scoop of each, and drink it that way, and we’ll do that in a little while. I’m sure you have your favorite recipe.

Mike: Yeah, I like to blend it with fruits, and vegetables, and almond milk, or even hemp milk is another product on the market.

KC: You know we call it super smoothie for a reason, because there are problems with juices, as you know. When you do fresh juice, number one, it’s 14 days after they picked it when you finally get it at the store, and so the nutrients aren’t all there, and two is, it’s only micro nutrients for the most part. There’s no fiber, no protein and that sort of thing. So, smoothies, they take it the other way. Smoothies, they have radical amounts of fruit and juices in there, and they have so much sugar that they’re really only a dessert, really. So, what we’ve done is we’ve taken all the benefits of juicing and added the benefits of smoothies, and given all the macro and micro nutrients you need, but it’s also low glycemic, high in antioxidants, super fats and low calorie.

Mike: And here’s another interesting fact you should know, that the meal replacement products you find in retail and common stores, grocery stores, Wal-Mart, CVS, places like that, many of those contain up to 50% table sugar. And they call that a healthy meal?

Monica: Wow!

KC: Well, you got to get to your daily sugar consumption somehow, I mean.

Mike: That’s crazy. The sugar content of your products is very low.

KC: We don’t add any sugar. The sugar comes from the berries or the foods, or whatever.

Mike: Exactly. What sweeteners do you use in your formulations?

KC: We use, our sweetener here actually is called TheraSweet. We learned because a lot of the nutrients that you’re drinking here tastes delicious, but if you tried them by themselves, they’re nasty.

Mike: [laughs]

KC: I mean, really.

Monica: Especially some of the greens.

Mike: Well, yeah.

KC: Some of the greens, but some of these antioxidants and some of these extracts are just not tasty. So, what we learned by putting these together is that if you combine natural sweeteners like xylitol, tagatose, Stevia and other things along those lines — approved Stevias, obviously — that you can actually generate a flavor profile that actually everyone likes. You can make a little kid like it or anyone like it, really.

Monica: And these products were taste tested with our five children . . .

Mike: Oh, yes.

Monica: . . . so if it passes their taste buds, then we push it forward.

Mike: Well, they’re absolutely delicious, and especially the berry. That’s the flavor that I recommend, and my audience, by the way, raves about your products. I get emails from them all the time about how good these are and the kinds of benefits they’re receiving from them. I imagine you hear some of that, too, from your own customers.

KC: Well, we’d like to here from yours as well.

Monica: Yeah. That’s some of the most rewards, is just to get the testimonials from people all around the world on how our products have helped them come off their diabetic medication. I mean, it’s just …

KC: Well, we don’t make any claims at Living Fuel …

Monica: Yeah.

KC: . . . but we do claim what it is, and if people do any research, like on your side, to figure out what they need, they’ll find out that this is what they need. We say, “Living Fuel. Everything your body needs”, and for a reason.

Mike: Well, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the formulation behind Living Fuel with us today. It’s great to have you both on the show.

KC: Terrific.

Monica: Thank you.

Mike: You’ve been watching Natural News.
