We love banana split sundaes, but not the sugar, calories, fat, and lack of nutrition that comes with them. Here’s Living Fuel’s spin on this classic that you can fix your kids (or yourself) for breakfast!
The
LivingProtein® Banana Split SuperSmoothie fuels you with 465 calories, 12 grams of fiber, and 30 grams of plant protein. This delicious SuperSmoothie is dairy-free, soy-free, and hassle-free! Blend one up today and let us know what you think at the Living Fuel Facebook Page.
LivingProtein Banana Split SuperSmoothie
2 scoops (1 serving)
LivingProtein® 1 teaspoon organic unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons organic almond butter
½ medium frozen banana (organic is best)
1 cup unsweetened organic vanilla or chocolate almond milk
¼ teaspoon organic cinammon
dash nutmeg (optional)
Mix in blender until smooth and enjoy!
Save the Bananas!
Rescue your overripe bananas instead of tossing them. Remove the peel and freeze them in a freezer-safe container. Use them in your favorite SuperSmoothie recipes and they’ll keep up to 3 months in your freezer. The cold locks in the nutrition and taste, provides a creamy consistency and chills your SuperSmoothie in the process.

The iconic PB&J—the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
There’s likely not an organization that tracks such statistics, however, it’s probably safe to say that there were hundreds of thousands of these sandwiches made and eaten by young and old alike on a scorching hot summer day like today. Unfortunately, the ingredients in this American lunch icon often hide dangers such as hydrogenated vegetable oils, high fructose corn syrup, added white sugar, nutritionally-empty white bread, and a list of unpronounceable chemicals, fillers, and flavors.
Instead, try our fantastic LivingFuel creation the delicious LivingProtein PB&J SuperSmoothie for lunch this week. You and the children in your life will love it!
This new gluten-free, plant-driven recipe fuels you and those you love with 220 calories, 6 grams of fiber, and 16 grams of plant protein.
LivingProtein PB&J SuperSmoothie 1 scoop
LivingFuel LivingProtein®
1 tablespoon organic peanut butter
4 organic fresh or frozen strawberries
½ cup chilled almond milk
½ cup chilled purified water
2 ice cubes
Adjust the amount of peanut butter and strawberries as you would in a traditional PB&J to taste.
Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.

An easy nutritional rule to follow is to choose naturally bright-colored vegetables and fruits to maximize the nutrition per calorie of your foods.
Take the bright orange peach for example. This nutritional powerhouse is a good source of several vital nutrients including Vitamin A, niacin, thiamine, potassium, even calcium! Peaches are a delicious treat right off the tree or baked into a decadent dessert like warm peach cobbler. Unfortunately, a conventional peach cobbler recipe calls for loads of sugar, white flour and unhealthy oils.
Instead, try Living Fuel’s take on this southern favorite, our LivingProtein Peach Cobbler SuperSmoothie featuring the revolutionary plant protein/fiber/antioxidant blend
LivingProtein®. It’s sweetly delicious and milk-free, soy-free, and gluten-free; rich in cleansing plant fiber and nourishing plant protein!
Each LivingProtein Peach Cobbler SuperSmoothie fuels you with 195 calories, 5g plant fiber and 17g plant protein.

2 tablespoons organic vanilla Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon raw honey
½ cup cold purified water (may adjust water for desired consistency)
Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.
