Happy New Year!  Last week on LivingFuelTV, we shared with you the importance of The Living Fuel Fast for your family’s journey to SuperHealth in the New Year.  This week, join us in the kitchen as we demonstrate how we prepare for The Living Fuel Fast.

For many, juice fasting is a daunting project.  First you have to buy all the fresh fruits and vegetables, then prepare them for juicing.  It is a time-consuming task and can be extremely inconvenient.  Another issue is that the majority of people who juice usually make fruit or sweet vegetable juices that are loaded with sugar and are not as healthy as the deep dark greens and colorful vegetables.

The Living Fuel Fast makes preparation a breeze and is far more complete and nutritious than conventional juicing.  Imagine fasting without hunger and cravings!

For more delicious SuperSmoothie recipes, visit the newly expanded LivingFuel Favorite Recipes page.  If your family has a favorite LivingFuel recipe, share it with us by emailing info@livingfuel.com.  We’d love to add your personal favorite creation, too!
Here’s to your SuperHealth,

Understanding the mechanisms behind this weight loss could provide a basis for new treatments for obesity, they say.

Cut calories and keep careful track of the fat, protein and carbohydrates (including sugar) you eat — those are the usual dietary recommendations for adults with type 2 diabetes (commonly referred to as adult-onset or non-insulin-dependent diabetes).

Trap: In my experience, many people who follow these recommendations still don’t reap the promised benefits — weight loss, reduced need for medication and fewer complications.

My approach is dramatically different — and it works. My research team and I conducted a series of studies with hundreds of patients, and we discovered that it is possible to improve blood-sugar levels through diet alone.

Type 2 diabetics and pre-diabetics are well-advised to eat a “low-glycemic diet.” That simply means you choose foods — and portion sizes — that prevent large spikes in your blood sugar levels. This not only helps prevent the progression of the disease but can actually help you get back to a non-diabetic state-especially when accompanied by needed weight loss.

There has been ongoing debate about which diets have the greatest impact on weight loss, and for the food industry this has had an impact on products, particularly in the aftermath of the low-carb Atkins diet phenomenon. Many diets have emphasized the importance of various proportions of fat, protein and carbohydrate.

But an expert in the subject told an audience of digestive specialists that if Britons continue to follow unhealthy diets and favor certain foods over others, nine in ten are likely to be overweight or obese by 2050.
